We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance Officer to join one of our partner schools in a vibrant and inclusive school located in the NG7 area Role Overview As the Attendance Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the school. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a supportive environment where all students can thrive. Key Responsibilities Monitor and track student attendance daily using the schools management systems. Identify patterns of absence and implement strategies to address them. Communicate with parents and carers to discuss attendance concerns and offer support. Work closely with school staff, including the pastoral and safeguarding teams, to ensure a joined-up approach to improving attendance. Liaise with external agencies when necessary to address persistent absenteeism. Provide regular reports and data analysis to senior leadership. Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with school and legal requirements. About You The ideal candidate will have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail. The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Experience working in a school or educational environment (desirable but not essential). Knowledge of safeguarding procedures (training will be provided if needed).
