An exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic band 6 charge nurse to work within our dynamic stroke rehabilitation team on ward B NPTH. We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate clinical leader who is able to lead the team in achieving and attaining high standards of nursing care whilst promoting patient safety at all times. This successful candidate will work within the team on ward B, which is a 28-bedded stroke rehabilitation ward. The post holder will be required to work a seven-day service which will include weekends, bank holidays, and nights. Applicants must share the values and behaviours of Swansea Bay University Health Board.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participate in the education, development, and supervision of other staff members.

Person Specification
Qualifications and/or Knowledge
* Knowledge of safeguarding adults/children including MCA and DOLS
* Registered Nurse (Part 1) - Active NMC Registration
Experience
* Relevant clinical experience
* Able to relate theory into practice through reflective skills
* Experience with working with pre-registration nursing students
* Relevant experience within specialty and able to demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant specialty
* Previous experience of leadership and management
* Awareness of current issues in nursing and specialty
