Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Bolton Pay Rate: £95 - £100 per day A secondary school in Bolton is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide support for students with special educational needs. This role involves close collaboration with teachers and the SEND department to create an inclusive learning environment, helping students overcome barriers to achieve their best. Responsibilities: Offer 1:1 and small group support, focusing on students with additional learning needs Assist in implementing and following Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) Support classroom activities by adapting resources and materials to meet diverse learning needs Promote positive behaviour and help manage classroom dynamics effectively Work with teachers, parents, and external agencies to monitor and support student progress Requirements: Prior experience working with SEND students in a school setting Familiarity with SEND strategies, including sensory support and managing EHCPs Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families Skills in behaviour management, with a positive approach to addressing challenges Opogo benefits: Opogo Education is the alternative to supply teaching agencies.
