This is an ideal post for doctors who have completed the Foundation Programme or Core Medical Training. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work in the Kent and Canterbury Hospital which is part of an innovative and dynamic Foundation Trust.
The clinical experience will be across a variety of specialities day to day Nephrology, Vascular, Interventional Radiology and; during on calls Haematology, Neurology and Nephrology through the year which offers stimulating and diverse educational opportunities.

The appointee will be expected to cover for absence of colleagues (including on call cover) at short notice, e.g. sickness. Cover outside the Rota requiring extra hours of work will be paid as additional work at nationally agreed rates and will be coordinated to be compliant with the relevant legislation.
It is expected that the post holder will play an active part in the training of junior medical staff. He/she will also be expected to supervise, educate and assist medical students.
The post holder should take an active part in clinical audit, journal club and departmental teaching sessions. Regular appraisals will occur and the post holder will be expected to take part in CPD.
