A fantastic opportunity has been created to develop and grow leadership and management skills for a team of nurses.
The post holder will have devolved responsibility for the operational provision of Intensive and High dependency unit services, providing holistic care for the critically ill adult and their family. The post holder will work to support the Matron in the planning, provision and supervision of a 'first class service'.
It will be expected that the post holder's time will be clinical and operational management with flexibility according to need.
Hours per week: 37.5 (part time considered)
Main duties of the job
* Delivery of expert clinical nursing practice, working as a specialist resource.
* Devolved resource management for Critical Care.
* Effective and efficient utilisation of the allocated financial budget.
* Operational & personnel management.
* Contribute to business and service development planning annually as required.
* Delegate and monitor components of the role to senior staff ensuring support is maintained.
* To maintain a broad understanding of the work of the Urgent Care service Line and of the Trust as a whole, and actively contribute ideas for the improvement of service provision.
* To ensure own actions contribute to the maintenance of a quality service provision.
* To provide support to the night nurse practitioners.

* Educated to degree level.
* Professional training delivery qualification or equivalent experience of delivering and facilitating in challenging environments.
* Portfolio of certified/accredited professional development activity undertaken in relevant areas.

* ALS (Advanced Life Support / Skills) course.
