We work with a range of NHS, health and social careorganisations, focusing predominantly on providing excellent medicines supportfor patients in care homes and in receipt of domiciliary care support for theirmedicines.

We are looking foran experienced pharmacy technician with a passion for patient care. The idealcandidate will be a caring, dedicated, reliable, and patient-focusedprofessional. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will need tointeract effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, family members,and care staff. Additionally, you should be a self-motivated individual withthe ability to plan and work flexibly, both independently and as part of ateam.
Main duties of the job
Your keyresponsibilities will include ensuring the safe use of medicines in care homesand domiciliary care providers, auditing systems and processes for medicinesmanagement, developing recommendation reports and handling medicines queriesfrom health and social care providers. You will support training needs in carehomes and develop and deliver learning materials, provide expert medicinesadvice to colleagues and key stakeholders, including supporting with safeguardingconcerns involving medicines, and foster integration across health and socialcare through medicines optimisation.
We offer hybrid working in this role meaning that the successful candidate can work from a mixture of locations including home, NECS offices and customer locations. Your working week is likely to include 2-3 days in care homes, with domiciliary care providers or other health and social care providers, 1-2 days working from home writing up reports, attending online meetings, and supporting queries, and 1-2 days in the NECS office in Middlesbrough, working alongside colleagues.

1. Relevant post qualification experience working as a pharmacy technician in healthcare settings

5. On-going commitment to continuing professional development to maintain theoretical and practical knowledge

12. Registered Pharmacy Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council
13. Hold recognised qualification in pharmaceutical sciences (BTEC / NVQ3 or equivalent) plus specialist training and experience to degree or equivalent level
