This role is suitable for a fully independent Physiologist with experience of running a Physiologist led Sleep service to join us working as a Band 7 Senior Physiologist. Main duties of the job As the Band 7 Respiratory Physiologist you will work with the Lead Respiratory Physiologist & Physiology Service Manager delivering the Respiratory Physiology & Sleep Services. You will: Take patients from referral through to treatment and long-term review as part of the Physiologist led Sleep Service Work closely with the ISU Senior Management Team, Consultant Respiratory Physicians and Physiology Service Manager to ensure respiratory diagnostics are delivered in a cost-efficient manner Oversee maintenance and calibration of all Respiratory Physiology equipment and devices Represent the service at management meetings and clinical group meetings in the absence of the Lead Respiratory Physiologist, and when required, regional matters If you are joining us through the Band 6 Respiratory Physiologist developmental pathway, you will: Assist senior Physiologists with more complex tests- CPET, bronchial challenge testing and Hypoxic challenge testing Coordinate CPAP set-up, follow up and troubleshooting under the guidance of Senior Respiratory Physiologists Accurately maintain equipment databases for the nebuliser loan service and sleep service.
