Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O'Rourke, two of Europe’s most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £2.8 billion.
Together, as BYLOR, these two companies will construct the buildings that will house the two EPR nuclear reactors at HPC, showcasing the best of UK and European engineering design capability, technical expertise and project leadership.
The Project:
On our site, the GMAO system manages the stores, the workshops (Joinery, Metal, Formworks), and the plant (Mechanical, Electrical).
The GMAO is the fundamental and complete application which manages and records our assets maintenance and repairs, the workshops' works, the stock for all articles needed on the project, and the cost allocation regarding works back charges or stock issued to the platform deliveries.
The GMAO engineer will have to manage the GMAO system, realize process improvement and development, identify and set up performance indicators, coordinate, create the documentation, and train the users.
He will firstly focus and grow his skills in the stores area and on the long-term rollout in the Workshop and plant.
The GMAO engineer reports directly to the GMAO senior engineer and logistic leader.
He is also in close collaboration with all entities where the GMAO is implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Well understand and improve the process in the field and on the software.
2. Identify the bottleneck and find a way to improve.
3. Plan, execute, coordinate, and sustain the technical solution.
4. Create the support documentation and training for operators and users and ensure they have well understood the principles.
5. Develop new systems to improve the process, such as QR code systems, interface graphics, WMS, email alerts, and planning.
6. Manage the users and licenses allocation.
7. Identify and perform the Key Performance Indicator development, automatic reporting, monitoring, and dashboard.
8. Manage supply chain from the request to the delivery on site, ensuring that the process is followed.
9. Reference the supplier catalogues, improvement proposals, and updating.
10. Manage spare parts and all site consumables in the store, in/out/stock level.
In the long term:
1. Work order for the workshops process management.
2. Manage the assets recording and all equipment, tower cranes, heavy machines, formwork, electrical tools, lifting gear, FFSP.
3. Ensure the assets are up to date in the application with the full inquiries according to the BYLOR and client requirements.
4. Tasks planning, works, maintenance, services, repairs.
5. Liaise and stay in contact with the French GMAO admins to source any improvement.
6. Liaise with the corporate company for any upgrade version and propose improvements regarding the needs of the project.
Your Profile:
1. General or Logistic profile.
2. Knowledge of automation and digital tools in the industrial sector.
3. Good knowledge in IT systems.
4. Beginner programming skills highly appreciated (SQL).
5. Warehouse and logistics management.
6. Capable of leading change in the branch’s organizations.
7. Able to lead and conduct working groups.
8. Capable of managing multiple tasks within an overall project.
