Assistant Accountant
Are you a financial whizz with a flair for administration? Claimont Health are a successful Mental Health and Complex Care provider looking for a Financial and Administrative Coordinator to join our dynamic and friendly team.
Reporting in to the Head of Finance your duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Payroll and associated People costs processing - contractors, agencies, third parties. HMRC and pension payments. Query resolution.
2. Migration of bookkeeping activities from an external accountancy company.
3. Identifying, addressing and/or escalating financial risks and opportunities.
4. Working alongside the Head of Group Finance to produce month end (and mid-month if required) Management Accounts reports and associated narrative.
5. Working closely with the Head of Group Finance and senior managers to develop annual budgets for each client package, sector and central team.
6. Delivering monthly variance analysis between budgets and actuals.
7. Producing rolling monthly forecasts to provide the most up to date financial view of the company's year-end position.
8. Creating ad-hoc financial reports and data analysis to produce actionable insight to support decision making.
9. Assisting the Head of Group Finance with financial modelling and providing decision making support for all key stakeholders.
10. The post holder will build effective relationships with key stakeholders, clients and contractors to ensure continuity in the service being provided.
11. The postholder will have access to a large amount of sensitive and confidential financial information, so a high degree of trust and integrity are required.

Required skills
* AAT qualified, ideally a studier - ACCA / CIMA or looking to study
* Project and contract management experience
* Knowledge of compliance and quality control
* Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
