If you thrive in a role where you can bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and work on exciting infrastructure and security projects, we want to hear from you The Role As a Network Engineer, you will: Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including virtual networks, cloud platforms, and WAN technologies. Configure and manage FortiNet firewalls, as well as other key network devices like routers, switches, and load balancers. Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams, ensuring seamless integration and alignment. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks for optimal operation. Deploy security and operational updates in line with business guidelines. Support and educate helpdesk staff, resolving network-related tickets and improving team knowledge. Play a pivotal role in disaster recovery and backup solutions.This role offers exposure to a wide variety of projects across networking, infrastructure, and security due to the collaborative nature of the team. Working Arrangement This role is onsite, based in Bromley, Kent. However, there is the option to transition to a hybrid working model after a few months, once you are settled into the role and familiar with the environment. ✅ What We're Looking For To excel in this role, you'll need: Advanced networking knowledge, including TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, VLANs, load balancing, and VPNs. Hands-on experience with FortiNet firewalls, firewalls, routers, and switches. Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. A proactive approach to deploying security updates and maintaining network integrity. Availability to work outside core hours when required. Additional Skills That Will Set You Apart While not essential, experience in the following areas would be a plus: Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud services. Cisco switches (configuration, security, firmware updates). Dell servers and iDRAC. Veeam and Zerto data resiliency platforms. Rapid7 tools for network monitoring and security. ITIL practices. Scripting and automation of network solutions. Planning and testing pen-test remediations with effective communication of impacts.
