Supply Chain Coordinator - Great Western Hospital
We are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Coordinator to join the GWH Supply Chain team. This role would be based at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
The role is a full time 37.5 hours / week Mon - Fri 08:00 - 16:00.
This is a customer-focused role providing a service to maintain a continuous supply of goods to deliver patient and clinical care. The role is varied and very physical in nature due to activities such as picking, packing, sorting, and the distribution of goods. With the use of leading-edge technology, you will influence how goods are moved, managed, stored, purchased, and replenished within your remit.
Main Duties of the Job
As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that clinical services within the hospital have a continuous supply of goods in line with the Trust's Inventory Management system. The role requires scheduled visits to the departments, undertaking stock inventory using Electronic Data Capture and other Materials Control systems. This will include investigating discrepancies, problem-solving, contacting suppliers, and conveying information to stakeholders in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have a full understanding of best customer service practices and possess the ability to work on their own initiative, developing customer relationships and new effective order processes. Excellent communication skills are paramount, along with the ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team. A good standard of general education and numerical competency is essential. Computer literacy is required.
