Summary You will be joining one of the highest performing outdoor welcome teams in the country. Duration: 1st February to 30th November 2025 Hours: Roles available at 1 day, 2 days and 3 days per week. Whilst it won’t be every weekend it is important to know that there is a high amount of weekend and bank holiday working involved. What it's like to work here The successful candidate will join Anne and her team as the face of our organisation. We often say that a visitor may spend their whole day on National Trust land but never realise it. We aim to change that by engaging our visitors with a warm welcome and the ability to offer advice that can turn a good day out into a great one. The team has a lot of experience and will help train and develop you, and other newer members of the team can support you as they know what it is like working solo for the first time. You will need to be comfortable working independently in an outdoor environment. What you'll be doing This role would suit you if you have a enthusiasm for the outdoors and want to help visitors get the most out of their visit. You will look at a group in front of you and be able to put yourself in their shoes to make the right recommendations and offer the right advice. Understanding the work we're doing to help keep the Lakes special for everyone and communicating that through stories to help the public understand who we are and what we do is a big part of the role. Growing support of the National Trust through membership is also important as it helps grow our supporter base and raises important funds to help deliver our conservation goals.
