£31067 - £35235 per annum | Pro Rata | Permanent | Part time, 30 hours per week | West Lancashire Short Break Service | Skelmersdale
International Sponsorship: this role is not open to international sponsorship.
Vacancy: Grade 7 Team Manager for West Lancashire Short Break Service.
Hours of work: 30 hours per week with a requirement to be part of the standby duty rota, along with occasional shift work that will involve evenings and weekends.
Overall Responsibility: To provide operational and supervisory management to a team of staff supporting individuals at the Short Break service.
Opportunities have arisen within the West Lancashire Short Break Service to appoint a Grade 7 Manager. Applications are invited from existing team managers who would like the experience of working in a registered service and from community support workers.
You will work as part of a management team committed to providing highly personalised, quality services which enable people who have learning or physical disabilities to access the Short Break Service. There is a requirement to demonstrate the ability to lead and develop staff teams in addition to providing operational and supervisory management. You will be responsible for developing person-centred plans for individuals, organising the support to meet individual needs, and working closely with other professionals and family members to do so.
You will need to demonstrate that you are an effective communicator both in writing and verbally. You will need to be flexible and highly motivated, with an in-depth understanding of the values base for the service and those of a person-centred service. You will be responsible for implementing policies, managing resources, and responding to cover and situations requiring advice in a 24-hour service.
Requirements: To meet those of the Grade 7 Profile, NVQ3 or equivalent qualification is essential.
