Everyone goes home safe at the end of the day. This is our top priority, so if this resonates, you know the hard work that goes into ensuring this is a reality and if you want to learn and develop through working closely with our HSEQ Director then please read on. We are not looking for a clipboard warrior or a box ticker. You will be able to run with ideas, figure things out, be the right-hand person and keep pace with our Director, ensuring we analyse, implement, embed, measure and continuously be better each day when it comes to all things HSEQ. Note, this is a hybrid role, with at least 2 days (including Mondays) based out of our Head Office in Abingdon, Oxon. Sector experience is not key but if you bring Fibre / FTTP / FTTH experience in areas such as Civils Build, Installations and Engineering, know the ins and outs of PIA, DNOs, JUPs, etc then that would be beneficial. But you will understand the management of real-world operational risk within a construction, civils, or utilities type organisation. Even better if you have lived it and been in their shoes. You will be NEBOSH diploma qualified or similar / equivalent. Know NRSWA, SROH and CDM. Building trust, getting buy in from the team and business is key, as is knowing where and when to apply the pressure. We have implemented a great deal of best-in-class processes, training, documentation and risk management for our own Direct Labour and our Contractors but we must never relax. This role will ensure we do not. Processes can always evolve for the better, effectiveness of training and education can always be improved and new risks and quality issues will be identified along with new requirements for compliance and control. This person will understand data, identify trends and be a forward thinker to support the business and build upon an already strong culture of positive behaviours. Gigaclear is a growing Fibre Broadband (FTTP / FTTH) company, we are developing our fibre-to-the-premises broadband infrastructure to some of the most difficult to reach areas of the UK, empowering those communities with broadband to rival any city. Staff rewards, benefits and opportunities We foster a collaborative, engaging culture that empowers staff to grow and maximise their skills. We want to challenge our people in a fair environment where hard work is rewarded and a path for progression is open to all. Generous employer pension; up to 8% matched contribution Income protection & life assurance 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), holiday purchase scheme and Yay Days Health cash plan, 24/7 remote GP access and Employee Assistance Programme including counselling & legal advice Unlimited access to online training and development content via our Learning Management System Long service benefits and monthly employee recognition Enhanced maternity and paternity provisions Flexible working environment Health & Wellbeing initiatives and company funded social events Our values Our approach is to work guided by our mission, vision and values.
