Our Client has been carrying out car body repairs in the Swindon area since 2006.
In what is a relatively short period of time, its success has meant that our client has had to find new and larger premises on two separate occasions, simply to be able to cope with demand.
In 2019 our client settled into its modern, custom-equipped premises at in Swindon.
Our client's business model is based on providing high-quality repairs coupled with a competitive pricing structure.
Another ingredient of its success has been its staff. Most have been with the company for a number of years, and bring to bear a wealth of experience within the car body repair industry.
They are now actively looking for an MET Stripper Fitter for their Body-shop in Swindon.
About the Job
As an experienced MET, you will be responsible for:
* Carrying out all necessary mechanical and body work on allocated jobs
* Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop
* Carrying out inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work
* Ordering replacement parts
* Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition
Requirements
About You
You must be able to:
* Must be NVQ Level 3 Technician with MET experience in a bodyshop.
* ATA Accredited is desirable but not necessary.
* Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales
* Work skillfully and safely under pressure
* Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers specification
* Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision
* Be flexible in your approach
* Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind
* You will ensure that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines; for example, wearing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keeping all work areas clean and tidy.
