Are you an experienced HSE Manager looking to join a leading manufacturing business based in Heanor, Derbyshire? As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance, and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across the sites. Ideally, you will have experience working within a chemical manufacturing business previously; however, other backgrounds will be considered. Offering a salary of 60–70K depending on experience.

The Role:
* Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
* Advise management on compliance requirements regarding applicable UK and EU legislation, ensuring required compliance.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
* Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and documentation of findings.
* Collaborate with cross–functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
* Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE best practices and regulatory compliance.
* Monitor and analyse HSE performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
* Foster a "Speak Up" culture where employees feel safe to raise concerns and contribute to a safe working environment.
* Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and innovation in HSSE practices.
Suitable Candidate:
* Experienced HSE Manager ideally from a chemical manufacturing background – will consider other industries.
* NEBOSH Diploma in occupational safety and health.
* Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management – as a minimum.
* Internal Auditor – ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
* Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and process hazards and controls.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
