Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time (15 hours) physiotherapist to join our growing Cardiac and Heart Failure Rehabilitation service within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (base to be confirmed at interview). We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual with a solid foundation in core clinical skills and keen to develop and enhance their knowledge, reasoning and competence within the speciality of cardiovascular rehabilitation. Main duties of the job Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will assist in the delivery of a holistic and individualised programme of cardiovascular rehabilitation for people who have had a cardiac diagnosis, surgery or procedure. You will work autonomously in conducting patient assessments and functional capacity testing as well as leading individual and group exercise training and health education sessions. Along with other multidisciplinary team members, you will actively promote physical activity and healthy lifestyle change. You will be encouraged to engage with professional development opportunities including local in-service training opportunities, clinical audit, research and clinical supervision and mentoring. We have a structured appraisal system with annual reviews underpinned by the Knowledge and Skills Framework. You will have the opportunity to assist in the education and mentoring of more junior members of the team, as well as physiotherapy students and students from other healthcare professions.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh applicants are equally welcome to apply.
