Dealing with Accounts Payable queries and resolving any issues. Purchase invoice analysis work and weekly expenditure analysis (including credit card and PayPal purchases) Sales Ledger Raising all Sales Invoices in a timely manner and updating the Credit Control document accordingly Credit Control Liaising with customers and internal departments to ensure Deposits/Balance payments are made on time. Daily Bank Reconciliation Analysing the Bank Statements, processing the Income & Expenditure on Sage. Credit Card Reconciliation Analyse monthly spends, matching to Invoices/Receipts and processing on Sage. Petty Cash Reconciliation Match Receipts to Expenditure each week and process on Sage. Supporting stock audits. Deal with all Finance related queries from both internal departments and external clients Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc exercises. The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills with a background in finance/accounts (a minimum of 2 years practical experience in a busy finance environment). You must have the ability to manage your time effectively, work well as part of team and have great attention to detail. Experience of databases is an advantage but not an essential requirement. You must be able to work to tight deadlines and manage your workload accordingly. Essential Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritise your work. Good IT skills. A minimum of two years experience in a busy finance environment A sound knowledge of VAT (particularly on purchase and sales invoices) Role and Requirements As well as experience in a finance related role, the successful candidate will have achieved passes in Maths & English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent). You will have a high level of computer literacy and experience of accounts software such as Pegasus Opera, Sage or similar. Ideally you will have or be studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT for example) although qualified by experience is acceptable.
