We are looking for someone to share their heart and mind with our extraordinary children, with knowledge of attachment, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs within our brand-new specialist provision, underpinned by our CARE Model (Creating Attachment Relationships in Education). We are excited to welcome someone who has kindness in their heart and cultivates nurturing relationships with all who they meet. Team YA needs someone who has patience in abundance and enjoys sharing the magic of learning in everything they do. If you can be the rainbow in a child’s storm and a guiding light in the curriculum we deliver to the children and families that we serve, our school might just be the place for you!
If you have the following and are ready to plant seeds of healing then come see us!
1. Aspirations, enthusiasm, innovation and a belief that excellence in teaching is not accidental.
2. Commitment and patience to work with children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
3. Drive to be world class in SEMH teaching with confidence in your own abilities, knowledge, experience and creative ways of working with curriculum content and share these worldwide.
4. An ability in working in a relationships-first, restorative way, honouring the lived experiences of children in our community.
5. The ability to utilise a blend of restorative practice, therapeutic parenting and trauma informed approaches and models, supporting emotional regulation in children through co-regulation and modelling the model.
6. A belief that behaviour is communication and that children deserve unconditional positive regard. This is by no means an easy job; it requires hard work, dedication and a sense of hopefulness to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children in our school community.
We believe that CARE is contagious so we can offer you:
1. A dedicated and supportive staff team.
2. Monthly reflective practice.
3. Opportunities for career development through CPD.
4. Opportunities to develop evidence-based practice on a world-wide scale.
5. A restorative and creative approach to valuing all who enter our school.
How to apply:
1. You can apply online via the NE Lincs website.
2. If you’d like to discuss the role further then please contact headteacher Hannah Albery by email or Lead Teacher Laura Farrow by email or by phoning 01472 237772.
