Job summary We are looking for a highly motivated, organised, and skilled ODP/RN to join our dynamic team. Our trust offers a diverse range of specialties, including urology, breast surgery, gynaecology, ENT, general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, ophthalmology, pain management and dermatology services. The department includes three operating theatres, a minor ops theatre, and a procedure room, providing a fast-paced environment with a variety of clinical cases. As a Band 5 Theatre ODP/RN in our day-case theatres, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective running of the theatres, providing anaesthetic and surgical assistance to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures. You will be involved in all aspects of theatre care, including the preparation and maintenance of theatre equipment, ensuring that the patient's needs are met before, during, and after surgery. The role will require you to be organised, flexible and able to manage a busy workload effectively to meet the needs of the department. Your responsibilities will also extend to providing mentorship and support to junior staff members across all areas of theatre practice. There may be occasions where you will be required to work at King's Mill Hospital, which is also part of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, allowing you to broaden your experience and contribute to services across our Trust.
