Your New Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent, site-based Trainee Electrical Operative to join our Norfolk Street Lighting account. This role will be based on-site at our Brooke Depot (NR15 1HJ).
The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week - shift pattern to be discussed at interview
All necessary training will be provided both on and off the job. We will support you to gain a nationally recognised Level 2 diploma for installing and maintaining public lighting in the highway electrical sector
You will be responsible for:
* Conducting visual assessments and updating the Asset Management system.
* Performing street lighting maintenance.
* Installing and removing illuminated equipment.
* Ensuring the security of tools and materials.
* Participating in training and tool box talks.
* Working some unsociable hours and overtime, including emergency call-outs.
We want to hear from you if you have:
* Full UK driving licence (HGV Licence preferable).
* Ability to work outdoors and at heights.
* Technical mindset.
* Minimum of 3 GCSEs, including English, Maths, and a science subject.

Amey are the Street Lighting PFI Service Provider for Norfolk County Council. The main purpose of this role is to undertake visual assessments of the condition of the street lighting stock around Norfolk associated with our ongoing requirement to ensure all lighting assets are in a good condition. This will involve the use of an electronic tablet to update the Asset Management system.
