Your responsibilities will be:
Planning (70%)
* Ensuring compliance with all safe systems of work and standard operating procedures are adhered to.
* Managing Production Planning software to ensure that Planning Techniques and best practice is always adopted.
* Communicating to all Stakeholders to ensure that Production Plan is achieved.
* Monitoring Production Plan to identify potential issues, mitigating where possible.
* Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
* Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
* Determining manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to achieve Production Plan.
* Effecting changes to the Production Plan to ensure that Production Dates are achieved O.T.I.F.
* Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
* Co-ordinating with key functions, including Production Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Customer Service team, and other Production Plan Key Stakeholders to ensure all key elements to achieve Plan Success.
* Ensuring Plan is effectively optimized to support customer O.T.I.F requirements.
* Promptly addressing and resolving Production issues to mitigate 1st, minimize 2nd any delays in Production.
* Reporting on Plan vs Actual, presenting Variance Reports for Analysis to support continuous improvement.
* Co-ordinating production operations in accordance with material, labour, and equipment availability.
* Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
* Co-ordinating Sub-contract Orders with Warehouse and Vendor to ensure outwork is complete in a timely manner to support Production Plan.
* Estimating the amount of material, equipment, and labour required for production.
* Attending Daily Production meetings, highlighting issues and managing stakeholder responsibilities.
Purchasing (30%)
* Providing absence cover for the Purchasing and Planning Manager, ensuring a smooth transition of duties and responsibilities.
* Raising Purchase Orders for Key commodities that support the Production Plan, including Raw Material, Packaging, and sub-contract Orders.
General
* Communicate, practice, and promote the values, ethics, and culture of Harrison Packaging.
* Any other duties that can reasonably be expected of the role.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Experience within a Busy and Dynamic Planning Environment.
* Knowledge of Planning Production within a busy and dynamic environment.
* Knowledge of Planning software packages and MS Office proficiency.
* Knowledge of Packaging Industry would be desirable.
* Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management would be desirable.
* Ability to retrieve, analyse, and present data, demonstrating understanding and offering solutions.
* Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
* Organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
* Willingness to continually learn and improve, adopting a continuous improvement mindset.
* Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
* Good people management skills.
Starting salary £27,000 negotiable dependant upon experience.
