Take the lead in creating and delivering innovative HR solutions, managing a dynamic team, and supporting top engineering talent. Become the Head of HR for EPR Engineering, partnering with senior leaders to deliver critical people strategies for EDF’s future. The OpportunityAs the Head of HR for EPR-Engineering (EPR-E), you’ll report to the Chief Operating Officer of EDF EPR Engineering UK, with a functional report to the Hinkley Point C Project HR Director. In this role, you will work closely with the EPR-E executive and leadership teams to create and deliver people-focused strategies. Your aim will be to enhance performance across the business and deliver key HR objectives through innovative solutions. You’ll partner with EDF Energy’s Corporate Functions, specialists, and our Nuclear Family peer group to design people strategies that not only meet the needs of EPR-E but are also tailored to the diverse, collaborative environment created by shareholders, alliance partners, and EDF France. You’ll lead a team of HR professionals, providing strategic support and guidance across all teams and employees in the EPR-E function, ensuring that people-related needs are met with precision and care. What you’ll be doing… You’ll work closely with senior leaders to understand organisational needs and create HR strategies that align with these goals. Leading a team of HR Business Partners, you’ll focus on recruitment, talent development, and retention of high-performing individuals. You’ll also develop and implement HR processes that support effective people management within the EPR E.Your role involves acting as an intelligent customer for EDF Energy’s Corporate Functions, ensuring EDF staff and managers receive tailored HR support. You’ll manage areas such as reward, leadership development, performance management, talent succession, organisational change, and employee relations, always with a focus on delivering solutions that support the business’s unique needs. Who you are… You bring extensive experience in HR leadership, with a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices. You have a proven ability to build strong relationships, influence senior leaders, and drive effective people strategies. Comfortable navigating complex environments, you can seamlessly switch between strategic planning and day-to-day HR tasks. You are results-focused, with the commercial acumen to anticipate workforce needs and manage change effectively.
