The Manager, Social Media, will be instrumental in shaping Oxford’s digital narrative through content and social media. This role is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies and managing content creation across Oxford’s owned and earned platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong story-telling skills, a background in content creation, social media management, and PR experience and / or knowledge, with the ability to integrate these disciplines to enhance our brand’s reputation and drive business objectives, including:
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to achieve business goals, including increasing brand awareness, online reputation management and driving website traffic.
2. Lead content planning and production across various platforms, including writing, editing, video and visual asset creation for social media and web.
3. Create and maintain an owned media content calendar to highlight key capabilities and strategic priorities.
4. Work with and manage external agencies and partners to ensure best practices, brand consistency, and result-driving content is created.
5. Manage and grow social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) while ensuring consistent messaging and brand integrity.
6. Manage organic and paid social media campaigns.
7. Grow Oxford’s global audience to reflect its capabilities across investment, development, and management.
8. Respond to issues, measure sentiment, and handle customer inquiries.
9. Act as Oxford’s voice in the social media world. Monitor, engage, and respond to audiences on social media platforms to foster a positive community and enhance customer relationships.
10. Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
11. Work closely with internal teams to align content strategies and campaigns across all channels.
12. Develop and execute a social media advocacy training program to support and encourage Oxford team members, growing our internal network of ambassadors.
13. Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging platforms to keep the company at the forefront of digital marketing.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Is passionate about content and has a vision for how content informs reputation management.
2. Understands how paid and owned channels work together to drive success.
3. Keeps up with the changing digital landscape and embraces change.
4. Possesses a broad skill base, comfortable writing copy and analyzing data.
5. Has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, communications, or a related field.
6. Brings 5+ years of experience in a similar or related role, preferably in commercial real estate, investment or finance.
7. Has previous communications and PR experience, working on or within the same team, and the ability to integrate these disciplines into your work.
8. Is proficient with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics) to listen, track and analyze data.
9. Has a strong understanding of digital marketing and social media trends.
10. Possesses a customer service-oriented approach.
11. Can innovate and bring fresh solutions to problems.
12. Is willing to share different perspectives to contribute to new ways to go beyond expectations.
13. Can build relationships based on partnership and trust.
14. Is flexible to accommodate colleagues across multiple time zones in a matrixed organization.
15. Has an entrepreneurial approach and desire to build new models and practices.
16. Has an eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in all communications.
17. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, creative thinking and problem solving.
18. Brings clarity and humanity to B2B language and jargon.
19. Has strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
20. Has experience managing budgets and working with cross-functional teams.
