About the role
The postholder will work with the NCLE team to complete and refine the NCLE online CPD platform and to develop and implement a series of synchronous engagement opportunities with the content of the online CPD. Expertise in AI in languages education will be an asset.
The post-holder will have day-to-day responsibility to develop a coherent, evidence-informed, appealing, engaging and practically relevant professional development environment for languages teachers. This includes writing curriculum material for online CPD. The post-holder will collaborate closely and build up strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They will ensure that the facilitated engagement opportunities with the online CPD feature high-quality speakers with relevant experience and expertise able to support the professional development of participants and reach the widest possible audience. They will liaise closely with the NCLE team to ensure that Strategic Learning Networks (SLNs) make good use of and actively contribute to the facilitation opportunities and that online CPD material provide a strong subject knowledge underpinning for the National Priority Projects.
The post-holder will take operational responsibility for and ensure overall coherence of planning, designing and developing online CPD content and for its facilitation as described above. They will also undertake associated tasks including the collection of user data and monitoring engagement as set out in the project plan supported by a Programme Administrator.
The post holder will make an active contribution towards ensuring that the NCLE meets relevant KPIs set by the funder as well as project reports.

About you
You will have extensive experience of working in or with state secondary schools and experience and an understanding of challenges faced in the UK school system, in particular removing system barriers and improving teaching practice.
You will also have knowledge and understanding of approaches to teaching Languages in schools and an interest in developing ways to improve, and materials to enhance the curriculum.
Qualified teacher status is desirable.
