About the role We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our growing team at TASK. Key Responsibilities: • Tender Preparation: Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions for design and build projects • Cost Analysis: Analyse project requirements, drawings, and specifications to determine accurate material, labour, and overhead costs involving elemental and NRM2 measurement and take off methods • Supplier Liaison: Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing. • Document Management: Maintain accurate records of all tenders, quotes, and supplier information. • Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions while maintaining project quality and specifications. • Collaboration: Work closely with the design, project management, and commercial teams to ensure estimates align with project goals. • Market Research: Stay informed about current market trends, materials, and construction methods. Qualifications and Skills: • Relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field advantageous but not essential. • Strong numerical and analytical skills. • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Knowledge of the design and build process is an advantage but not essential. Must be happy to work in Knightsbridge 4 days per week.
