Principal Commissioning Manager
Location: London or Glasgow
Salary: from £83,200, up to 30% bonus, family health cover and car allowance

You will be the leader of the Project Commissioning Team, responsible for the commissioning in the project. You will own and be the main responsible for the 'Safety from the System' and 'Electrical Safety Rules' procedures in respect to all electrical activities associated with the project.
What you’ll be doing
1. You’ll be responsible for the commissioning team, ensuring that the Offshore Wind Farm project is commissioned according to the applicable standards, within a defined time, and in accordance with project specifications.
2. Ensure that test values results are in compliance with the applicable standards.
3. Plan the commissioning tests of the project, creating a detailed programme of works, and communicate and agree with the rest of the Project Team, Package Managers, and Suppliers.
4. Act as the main point of contact for commissioning. Manage and coordinate the Project Commissioning Team and contractor commissioning resources (contractors, manufacturers), plan and chair site meetings, and complete full site quality, safety, and environmental inspections.
5. Deal with and resolve disputes whether they are technical, economical, or other.
6. Prepare and review tender documents including commissioning tests to be performed, contractor’s scope of works, costs, and programme according to our standards and specifications.
What you’ll bring
* Experience in commissioning, construction, or design of substations, transmission lines, or power plants.
* Experience in the renewables business is essential.
* Master's degree in Engineering.
* Experience managing teams.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation applicable to construction projects, particularly CDM.
* Knowledge of specification, design, maintenance, construction, and commissioning of plant apparatus, control & protection equipment on transmission networks.
* Ability to lead and work in a team environment.
* Knowledge of main safety regulations concerning commissioning works.
* Possession of safety certificates sufficient to perform and manage commissioning activities in energized areas.
* Proven experience with grid code and OFTO.
* Experience in transmissions and distribution up to 400kV.
