You're in luck as our TeamHighland are on the look out for Support Practitioners to join them part-time (20 hours per week) and relief basis. The Role The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. You'll become part of a dedicated team who supports five individuals with various support needs to live in their own homes. Their homes are all situated in the same housing support complex, so there will be no travel needed while on shift. As a Support Practitioner, you'll assist the individuals with all aspects of daily living including cooking, housework, shopping, medication and personal care. You'll also support them with their hobbies and interests too. Your support will play a huge part in helping them to reach their goals and play an active part in their local community. About You At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need to build your career within the Health & Social Care sector. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too All we'll need you to bring is: - A caring attitude and approach Good communication skills A positive approach to learning Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines Confidence in the use of computers. Shift Patterns As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns will include early mornings, days, evenings, waking nights, weekends and public holidays. Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
