Employing over 900 people across multiple plants in the UK and Ireland, our client prides itself on a dedicated workforce committed to service excellence. Continuous investment in cutting-edge technology has been a cornerstone of their success, with €70 million spent on capital projects over the past five years alone.
As the company prepares for further expansion and investment in the UK and Ireland, they are seeking a Plant Manager for their site in Enniskillen, one of the largest operations of its kind in the region, employing over 200 staff.
The site is undergoing significant capacity and automation enhancements, offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Manager to lead through the next growth phase.

Role Overview Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the Plant Manager will lead the Enniskillen operations, overseeing Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ). The successful candidate will be pivotal in achieving the company's strategic and operational targets, ensuring operational reliability and consistency through the development of people, plant, and processes. Additionally, the Plant Manager will act as an ambassador for the site, fostering positive relations with the local economy and community.
Key Responsibilities
Production
5. Manage production performance against budget through KPIs.
6. Drive efficiencies and standardisation in practices and reporting.
7. Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
8. Optimise maintenance functions and systems for plant efficiency.
9. Develop a production plan that maximises business returns, working closely with forestry and sales teams.
10. Recommend and implement production and safety improvements.
11. Liaise with teams to ensure effective resource use and cost control.
12. Develop effective bench marking with peers across the Group.
Processes, Technology, and Continuous Improvement
13. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
14. Stay current with technological advancements and integrate relevant innovations.
15. Evaluate and manage capital expenditure projects to enhance capabilities.
16. Lead teams to implement strategic changes and complete capital projects.
17. Introduce systems and processes for plant efficiency and budget delivery.
18. Develop plans for technology, production, and maintenance to meet site targets.
New Projects / Capital Development
19. Identify opportunities and prepare business cases for improvement projects.
20. Ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
21. Develop and maintain a capital investment strategy for the site.
Safety, Health, Environment, Quality (SHEQ)
22. Promote a safety culture with safe work systems and adherence to company policies.
23. Ensure policies, safe systems of work, and risk assessments are in place.
24. Share best practices and improvement opportunities across the Group.
Financial Control
25. Develop and manage budgets for all responsible cost centers, contributing to budget preparation and standardisation.
26. Address budget variations and manage corrective actions.
27. Analyse financial statements and reports for informed decision-making.
28. Ensure best value from suppliers and contractors while maximising quality and service.
Leadership
29. Support the successful delivery of the business strategy.
30. Lead and develop area managers and teams across the site.
31. Mentor and coach team members, conducting performance and development reviews.
32. Identify development opportunities for team members.
33. Ensure staff have the necessary resources, training, and information for their roles.
34. Conduct employee training as required by company policy and regulations.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

55. Degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or equivalent qualification.
56. Lean qualification or equivalent experience.
