Digital Scholarship at Oxford (DiSc) is recruiting three Senior Research Software Engineers (RSEs) to its team and is particularly seeking applicants with experience in any of the fields of:
* artificial intelligence and machine learning,
* textual scholarship, and
* data and infrastructure.
The successful applicants will support humanities and humanities-adjacent digital scholarship activity within the University, becoming active participants in the research software development community and engaging with researchers to help realise the potential of their research through generating innovative and impactful digital outputs.
They will have opportunities to engage with the University’s wider digital scholarship community and to contribute to a range of activities and initiatives, such as the Research Software Development Network, the Digital Humanities @Oxford Summer School and the MSc in Digital Scholarship.
DiSc is based in the Humanities Division and Bodleian Libraries, and the post-holders will have the opportunity to work in varied spaces around the University, including the Radcliffe Humanities Building and the Centre for Digital Scholarship at the Weston Library, as well as flexibility for mainly remote working subject to discussion.
When making your application, please specify which of the three specialisms you feel to be most interesting or relevant to your skills and experience. Further information about the posts is available from Andrew Cusworth (via digitalscholarship@humanities.ox.ac.uk).
