Flint Technology Services is looking for a highly experienced Programme Manager with a strong background in the nuclear power industry to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role is based in Manchester for 2 days per week, with remote working available for the remaining 3 days. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating complex nuclear power projects, ensuring they meet all safety, regulatory, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a portfolio of projects within the nuclear power sector, ensuring successful delivery in line with programme objectives, timelines, and budgets.
* Ensure that all programme activities comply with nuclear power industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental protocols.
* Work closely with project managers, technical experts, and external stakeholders to drive programme performance and resolve any project-related challenges.
* Develop, implement, and maintain programme roadmaps, including risk management, contingency planning, and issue resolution.
* Provide regular updates on programme progress to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
* Manage programme budgets, resources, and third-party vendors, ensuring cost efficiency and on-time delivery.
* Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of programme milestones.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Programme Manager in the nuclear power industry, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
* In-depth knowledge of nuclear power regulations, safety protocols, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
* Proficiency in programme management tools and methodologies.
* Relevant certifications such as PMP, MSP, or PRINCE2 are desirable.
* Ability to work onsite in Manchester 2 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the rest of the week.
