As part of this development, we have the opportunity to expand our team, recruiting into these brand-new roles.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Senior Imaging Clinical Support Workers to join our dynamic and friendly team in the Imaging Department. The successful candidates will be working alongside radiographers and radiologists to ensure the smooth running of the department.
We are looking for hardworking individuals who are both flexible and versatile. You will be a team player, have a positive attitude and be able to work under pressure in challenging conditions. You must have the ability to work with patients for sensitive imaging examinations. Previous healthcare experience is essential, but we will provide support and training to carry out your duties within the Imaging specialties.
Main duties of the job
This dynamic and evolving role will include coordinating the workflow in specific Imaging areas, assisting radiographers in the preparation of patients and equipment for imaging examinations, ensuring pre-examination checks and information are available, liaising with wards and porters, assisting with patient transfers and the orientation of patients around the department. You will also perform caring activities for the patients ensuring their needs, privacy, and dignity are met.
Job responsibilities
* Actively participate as a member of the Imaging Department team and contribute towards the smooth and efficient running of the Department.
* Coordinate the workflow within Imaging modalities, assisting radiographers with patient flow, preparing and positioning equipment, and assisting with patient transfers.
* Ensure provision of the highest standards of care.
* Assist the radiographers in giving individualized care to the patients.
* Perform caring activities such as preparing patients for their Imaging examinations and caring for patients following examinations.
* Assist the radiographers with the care and preparation of the Imaging equipment.
* Perform administrative and clerical duties across the department as required, including reception cover, appointment bookings, and data entry on all necessary clinical systems.
* Work 37.5 hours, including evening and weekend working.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education to include Maths and English GCSE at grades 4 and above or equivalent. Level 3 Educational Qualifications.
* Care certificate.
Experience
* Extensive previous healthcare work experience.
* Experience of working in an Imaging Department or demonstrates knowledge of work of Imaging Department.
Skills
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Examples of teamwork and organizational skills.
Knowledge
* Indicates knowledge of the work of an Imaging Department.
* Has visited/contacted the department to discuss the role.
