Outpatient Network is currently seeking Operating Department Practitioners to support our team in Swansea.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide expert assistance during surgeries.
2. Prepare the operating theatre, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile, functional, and ready for use.
3. Monitor and manage specialist equipment such as heart-lung machines and ventilators.
4. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff to ensure the smooth running of procedures.
5. Deliver high-quality perioperative care, including monitoring vital signs, managing airway support, and responding to emergencies.
6. Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness for future surgeries.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert assistance during cardiothoracic surgeries.
* Prepare the operating theatre, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile, functional, and ready for use.
* Monitor and manage specialist equipment such as heart-lung machines and ventilators.
* Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff to ensure the smooth running of procedures.
* Deliver high-quality perioperative care, including monitoring vital signs, managing airway support, and responding to emergencies.
* Safely transfer patients to post-operative care and ensure accurate documentation of all care provided.
* Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness for future surgeries.
About You:
* Registered ODP with HCPC.
* Experience in Gynaecological Surgery is preferred.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to patient safety and high standards of care.
