Service Engineer - Intruder and Fire Alarms

Over £50,000 earnings potential + company vehicle
Location: London and Kent
Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join a growing team servicing and maintaining Intruder Alarms and Fire Detection systems across the Kent and London/Greater London area. The role involves providing high-quality service and maintenance for these systems, ensuring safety and functionality for our customers.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in the service and maintenance of Intruder Alarms and Fire Detection systems. The following skills and experience are desirable, with salary dependent on your qualifications:
1. Service and maintenance of Intruder Alarms (both conventional and wireless)
2. Service and maintenance of Fire Detection systems
3. Experience with dual monitoring (e.g., Dual Com systems)
4. Familiarity with all major alarm panel brands and app-based systems
5. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes of practice (e.g., EN50131, PD6662, BS4737, BS8243)
6. Experience with commissioning and system testing (beneficial but not essential)
7. Knowledge of current fire safety regulations and codes of practice

Hours and Other Details
Our standard working hours are 8.30am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for earlier start/finish times. The role may involve working at heights and can be physically demanding. A full UK driving license is required for the company vehicle. You will be expected to travel to various sites within your area, so flexibility is essential.
NSSA Security Screening is required for this role.
