Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House is a picturesque boutique hotel that occupies three buildings, two of which are 19th-century manor houses bursting with character. The hotel is newly refurbished with a décor based on Oxford style vintage fashion.
Set amongst 3 acres of private gardens and only 2 miles from Oxford city centre, Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel is a beautiful country manor in the picturesque village of Iffley. A total of 77 rooms, all en-suite, are divided between two buildings, each with an entirely different character.
It's a 10-minute bus ride from the bus stop outside the hotel to the city centre and train station, or a relaxing 35-minute walk along the riverside Thames Path National Trail, which is just steps away from the hotel.
Job Description
An exciting opportunity for a Front Office Manager has arisen at Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel. If you are a talented professional passionate about creating extraordinary experiences, then this could be the perfect hotel for you. You will be managing the Front of House department and ensuring operational excellence for all areas of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be passionate about guests and delivering great service.
* Have a hands-on approach, are organised, and supportive of your team.
* Take initiative and react to situations as they arise, finding suitable solutions and ensuring a positive outcome.
* Be results-driven and understand what needs to be done to achieve the hotel goals.
* Work duty manager shifts as and when required.

You will have the opportunity to be part of a high-energy, fun team that delivers excellent customer service each day to all our guests. Understanding things from our guest’s perspective is key, so while you are settling into your new role we will arrange a one-night stay for you to experience this first hand.
Qualifications

* Experience in a similar role or Supervisor role with 2-3 years experience.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and training skills.
* Good communication and customer contact skills.
* Results and service-oriented with an eye for detail.
* Ability to multi-task and work well in stressful & high-pressure situations.
* A team player & builder.
* Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
