We are currently recruiting for an SC Cleared Records & Seized Property Processing Supervisor to work on a long-term, full-time contract based in Birmingham.
The role is based on-site (not remote) and is a full-time position.
The role is paying £18.41 per hour (PAYE).

About the role:
The force has hundreds of thousands of seized property items and thousands of boxes of paperwork across the Force and in external storage. We need to understand what it is, what we need to do with it, and get it done. The Force has established a team to tackle this challenge, and we are now seeking to increase the size of our team.
You will be working in a busy office and warehouse environment, providing efficient and effective support that is integral to the functioning of operational policing.
As a Supervisor, your role will be to work with very sensitive material currently held in evidence, and to act accordingly in line with Force policies.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Management of seized property within our secure warehouse environment
2. Operating computer systems to record movements, audits, disposal, sales, returns, etc of seized property items
3. Working to policy, legislation and guidance (CPIA, Data Protection Act, MoPI, Health & Safety)
4. Review and processing of both crime and non-crime related records
5. Operating computer systems to review and upload records
6. Operating document scanning equipment to digitalise archived records for retention
7. Maintaining clear records of document archives
8. Assist in the logistical movements of physical document archives
9. Maintain a clean, clear and professional working environment
Essential Criteria:
1. Be familiar with sensitive material/evidence.
2. Be computer literate and proficient in the use of CONNECT (an integrated Police system) and basic Microsoft Office products.
3. Be able to work well within a team and autonomously.
4. Be able to learn new processes and systems quickly and effectively.
5. Be able to understand and work to set deadlines.
6. Be able to develop strong working relationships with others.
7. Demonstrate a high level of personal and professional integrity.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Experience of working in a warehouse / logistics-based capacity.
2. Experience of working with Detained Property, Tape Libraries and Crime Files.
3. Working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, CPIA, MoPI, PACE, Data Protection.
The post holder must also undertake other duties within their competence or otherwise appropriate to the grading of the post as required.
