Repair machinery to National Standards through Planned Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance, and CMMS system. Optimize equipment reliability and adhere to Safety and training.
Responsibilities:
* Perform tasks safely, ensuring safety of others in the manufacturing floor, warehouse, and support areas.
* Comply with IEEE, BS7671 Wiring Regs, and Electricity at Work regulations for electrical work.
* Provide vision, goals, coaching, and priorities for safety, quality, customer service, and costs goals.
* Ensure facility maintenance for optimum operation of ancillary and peripheral systems.
* Use CMMS program for optimum reliability of manufacturing and ancillary systems.
* Provide energy to PM schedule for a "best in class" environment.
* Seek alternatives to control and reduce spending, promoting improvement ideas.
* Support production shift supervisor in reacting to breakdowns efficiently.
* Operate Lathe, milling machine, and other workshop machinery.
* Carry out day-to-day duties as required by the maintenance manager.
* Promote excellence in reliability engineering, predictive, and preventive maintenance.
* Responsible for plant facility and ancillary services.
* Be flexible with work hours and support project work.
* Complete relevant records of faults and projects.
Experience Required:
* HNC/ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* 5 years of related experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance or project roles.
* Followed a recognized indentured apprenticeship.
* Knowledge of mechanical, electrical systems, electronic drives, and controls.
* Basic computer software skills (MS Office).
* Experience of AC and DC drives is advantageous.
* Awareness of Basic Plc fault finding.
* Ability to read and interpret maintenance documents.
* Understanding of engineering regulations.
* Awareness of project work is beneficial.
* Experience with using Lathe, milling machine to produce tooling and parts.
