We’re looking for a Building Surveyor to join our team and create a real impact by taking on responsibility for providing a high-quality integrated building surveying service.
Your new role:
Our core values - accountable, reliable, and collaborative - ensure that we work together effectively as both a team and through our partnerships, to create cost-effective, innovative approaches to even the most complex challenges. In this role, you will:
* Provide a full spectrum of Building Surveying services.
* Provide defect diagnosis and building pathology.
* Complete commercial Building surveys.
* Advise clients about building/property issues, which would include responding to requests for technical advice, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
* Provide assessments of the suitability of applications for Landlord Consent, including a managed programme of post construction inspections.
* Support the Pre-Construction Manager in the digitisation of the County Council estate and the process necessary to manage and maintain the data.
* Undertake site visits and attend meetings with clients and stakeholders as required.
What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for people who want to drive change and make a significant difference by contributing to the aims of our diverse and inclusive organisation. In addition, you will ideally have:
* Experience of working with public sector assets.
* Experience with new build and refurbishment projects.
* Chartered Surveyor Status.
* Condition report writing skills.
* Ability to manage your time well and work to strict deadlines.
* A basic understanding of sustainability in the workplace, and be committed to support the business with its carbon reduction strategy.
