The School and Role
This Primary Special School based in Sheffield caters for Children aged 4 to 11 with Autism Spectrum Disorder that have a Education Health Care Plan.
The role of a SEND Teaching Assistant involves working with Children with a variety of Special Educational Needs such as Autistic Spectrum conditions and Speech and Language difficulties. This role requires a highly motivated, adaptable, committed, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant with great communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting the Teacher. You will have experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs. You will work as part of a dedicated and committed team that have a child-centred approach in all they do. The School work tirelessly to make sure each of their pupils achieve their potential.
Requirements
The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working children and young people
- Experience of working with pupils with Autism
- A passion for the progress pupils with SEND
- An ability to work as part of a team
