The Role
This position is part of an already established team in the west of Cumbria. You will be working alongside a team of professionals, ranging from health and well-being nurses, independent prescribers, criminal justice workers, and recovery workers. The main purpose is to work between Whitehaven and Workington as well as outreach services across the area, working within the alcohol service with individuals who have identified opioid and alcohol issues, and conducting assessments and referrals.
Key Duties:
* To improve healthcare access for service users, BBV testing, healthcare assessments, and community medically assisted alcohol detoxifications.
* To deliver general healthcare activity including wound care assessment and ECGs.
* Undertake basic life support/anaphylaxis training so you are confident and competent to manage a medical emergency.
The Person
* Experienced within the Drug and Alcohol Sector would be ideal.
* Experienced working previously as a HCA.
* Hold relevant L3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience.
