Role Summary
Responsible for providing remote and onsite automation support on a rota basis, supporting multiple industries and technologies. Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, this role is key to our growth in automation services.
Main Responsibilities
1. Operate PLC/PC automation software and diagnose faults.
2. Connect remotely to client systems to troubleshoot issues.
3. Perform system health checks and maintenance.
4. Survey automation systems and advise on upgrades and risks.
5. Modify PLC code and support small automation projects.
6. Support sales with technical solutions and estimates.
7. Improve production processes and identify failure causes.
8. Follow safety protocols and create RAMS.
9. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant apprenticeship.
2. Experience in commissioning or maintenance roles with fault-finding skills across multiple PLC brands (Siemens, Rockwell, Omron, Schneider, Mitsubishi).
3. Understanding of electrical systems.
4. Self-motivated team player, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies.
5. Ability to connect to network systems and diagnose issues.
6. Ability to obtain security clearances (SC, CTC).
7. Excellent communication skills.
