We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Rowe Veterinary Referrals! We’re looking for an enthusiastic nurse who is passionate about referral care, dedicated to patient well-being, and eager to thrive in a dynamic and rewarding work environment, particularly with a focus on Ophthalmology.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Rowe Referrals, you’ll primarily work within our Ophthalmology department, while also rotating through other referral disciplines like soft tissue, neurology, and orthopaedics once a week. This Ophthalmology role involves one dedicated ward shift, with a primary focus on anaesthesia and surgery.

As a hospital offering 24/7 veterinary care, we are equipped with advanced facilities including MRI, CT, various scopes, ultrasonography, an on-site laboratory, and a dedicated team of skilled nurses and support staff.
Work with an Advanced Team
Our ophthalmology department is a small but highly dedicated team of 7 clinicians and 3 nurses, led by our Head Nurse. With a strong reputation for excellence, the department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including an Oertli OS4 phaco/VR machine, endolaser, high-frequency ultrasound, and ERG. Our clinicians are committed to providing the highest level of care for each and every patient.
Working Pattern
This full-time role requires working 40 hours per week, over 5 days. Shifts typically run between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm with an on-call rota of 1 in 4 (1 weeknight and the weekend).
