As an IT Technician, you will provide end-user and infrastructure support across various parts of the Pictet Group in London. Your role will involve troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining critical systems, ensuring network stability, and supporting key banking applications to enable smooth business operations.
Your role
* Provide hands-on and remote technical support for end-users across two business sites, diagnosing and resolving issues related to Microsoft Windows, Bloomberg terminals, and HP end-user products, as well as addressing tickets and escalating issues identified within defined SLAs.
* Set up, configure, and maintain end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. Utilise MDM solutions such as Workspace ONE and InTune for device enrollment, SCCM, policy management, and security compliance.
* Troubleshoot basic network issues, including TCP/IP configuration, connectivity, and performance across the two locations. Collaborate with senior team members on more complex issues and maintenance when required.
* Conduct routine maintenance, updates, and patch management on all assigned systems. Monitor system performance and generate incident reports to aid in proactive issue detection and resolution.
* Collaborate with international teams, particularly with Pictet Group’s IT department in Geneva for both day-to-day operations and project initiatives.
* Communicate and escalate issues to senior team members or other departments as necessary.
* Assist with new user onboarding and IT training as required.
* Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and best practices.
* Document support requests, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Your profile
* Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 2-4 years’ experience in IT support, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
* Any certifications in Microsoft, HP, or CompTIA are advantageous.
* ITIL v3/4 foundation or understanding of ITIL practices.
* Exposure to Bloomberg or other financial data systems is beneficial.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows (installations, configurations, troubleshooting).
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* A collaborative team player with excellent customer service and communication skills.
Please note, the role holder will be required to work on a shift rota with occasional weekend work. Regular travel between both primary sites (both in London zone one) with occasional visits to our disaster recovery facility is also required.
