The Opportunity:
Clarion’s technology portfolio creates market leading events covering digital transformation, future of work, customer experience, ecommerce and payments.
We are seeking a professional, resilient and tenacious VIP Engagement Executive to take a crucial role within this dynamic portfolio, working across 5 events per year:
Transport & Ticketing Expo - March (London) and June (Chicago)
Digital Transformation Expo (DTX) + Unified Communications Expo (UCX) - April (Manchester) and London (October)
Internet Retailing Expo (IRX) - Birmingham, May 2025
In this customer facing role, the candidate will be responsible for engaging with C-Suite and senior executives, understanding their needs and bringing them together for high-level discussions and round tables. Through outreach to confirmed and prospective VIPs, the candidate will be inviting them to attend sponsored, networking activities, as well as supporting the production team by engaging new potential speakers from the VIP persona.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves within the event/exhibition industry. They will need to have an excellent telephone manner, the ability to problem-solve, and a willingness to go the extra mile to build relationships with our VIP audience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for acquiring buy-side / VIP delegates with outreach via phone, email and social media.
* Ensuring the VIPs are actively engaged in attending sponsored roundtables, dinners, breakfasts as part of main events.
* Sending personalised invites to non-registered attendees based on sponsored ‘target account lists’ via LinkedIn, phone, email.
* Ensuring VIP participation in meetings onsite with sponsors and exhibitors.
* Meeting and exceeding both outreach and conversion targets, ensuring high-quality and high-quantity engagement.
* Supporting production team with outreach to prospective speakers using past and current VIP lists plus cold outreach based on target lists. VIP exec to make connection and set up call with producer.
* Supporting marketing team with their conversion campaigns by encouraging registered VIPs to attend.
* Acting as facilitator onsite to ensure and support VIPs of location attendance and timings.
* Greet and assist buy-side VIPs onsite at events, ensuring they receive excellent care and engage in the networking/social programme.
* Ensuring a superior customer experience for VIPs throughout the campaign.
* Building meaningful relationships that can be leveraged to develop and grow the show YoY.
* Year-round engagement to VIP community to understand their wants and needs.
* Inviting VIP community to sponsored networking events year-round.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with VIPs to foster brand commitment and loyalty.
