Finance Planning Analytics Developer (12 Month FTC) Luton/Hybrid THE TEAM This role sits within the central Financial Planning & Analysis team who are responsible for managing the budget, forecast and actuals across easyJet airline and easyJet holidays and for the reporting and analysis presented to the AMB. The role of Planning Analytics Developer is key to this, supporting the business, and working with colleagues across other finance systems to deliver an integrated and automated FP&A solution. JOB PURPOSE Planning Analytics is easyJet’s principal FP&A and reporting tool and is used for all forecasting, budgeting and reporting across Finance. This role is to join the Planning Analytics team, which currently includes two other developers, to help drive change in this vital, high-profile and fast-moving area. Initially the role will be focussed on developing a brand new end-to-end forecasting and reporting solution in Planning Analytics for easyJet Holidays’ rapidly growing business. Following this there are a host of other projects to develop other new financial forecasting models and processes, enhance existing ones, automate processes, create and re-build reporting suites and user interfaces and much more that the successful applicant will lead or be involved in. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Deliver a fully functional end-to-end forecasting and reporting solution for easyJet Holidays in Planning Analytics Build and enhance other FP&A models in Planning Analytics Develop and enhance process automation across the Planning Analytics environment Design, build and enhance front end user interfaces and reporting dashboards in Planning Analytics Provide technical expertise on solution design, architecture and build on a variety of initiatives that will deliver practical and tangible improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the planning, analysis and control functions Work with business users to understand, challenge and prioritise requirements, and suggest options for how Planning Analytics can deliver those requirements Ensure any solution proposed will meet the functional and non-functional requirements as defined by the business without compromising the integrity of the finance systems standard product offering, unless signed off by expectation Design and build of solutions to ‘best practice’ that meet requirements Provide expert advice and guidance to finance and non-finance colleagues on risks and issues relating to models being developed KEY SKILLS REQUIRED Experienced and proven developer of Planning Analytics models Technical lead on Planning Analytics projects Expert technical knowledge in the latest IBM Planning Analytics Rules, TI’s and processes Expert knowledge of Planning Analytics interfaces, especially PAW and PAfE Understanding of financial terminology and processes Assessing the impact of new requirements on existing models, people and processes Designing and developing new planning, reporting and control models Develop intuitive front end user interfaces and impactful reporting suites Driving improvements of: Operational controls, reporting and analysis, processes and systems Solution analysis, design, build, documentation and implementation including: Data Analysis, functional specification, technical Solution Design & UAT scenarios DESIRABLE SKILLS Experience of other core financial applications – MS SQL, Unit 4 Business World (Agresso) and Databricks Good understanding of data structures Other Technical skills including – SQL, Microsoft (Office, Visio, Project) Qualified Accountant or a finance background Experience of training end users What you’ll get in return Competitive base salary Up to 20% bonus 25 days holiday BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes 7% pension Life Insurance Work Away Scheme Flexible benefits package Excellent staff travel benefits About easyJet At easyJet our aim is to make low-cost travel easy – connecting people to what they value using Europe’s best airline network, great value fares, and friendly service.
