Job Title: Personal Advisor (Grade 5)
The Leaving Care service works with care leavers from the age of 16, and we are looking to recruit a full-time Personal Advisor in our South team based at Arnold.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage your own caseload of young people aged 16 to 21.
2. Provide a range of practical and financial support to care leavers.
3. Conduct face-to-face visits and advocacy.
4. Negotiate and collaborate with other agencies and colleagues to meet young people's needs.
5. Support young people in engaging with education, training, and employment.
6. Develop effective working relationships to motivate and support care leavers.
Requirements:
1. Excellent communication skills.
2. Ability to form positive, sustainable relationships with a diverse group of young people.
3. Emotional resilience and skills for independence.
4. Ability to work independently with ongoing support and supervision.
