Control of Works Manager - University Of Liverpool\n\nRole Summary\n\nThe Control of Works Manager at Integral UK is responsible for overseeing subcontractor operations across all buildings within our remit at the University of Liverpool sites and ensuring a safe system of work for all. Implementing Authority To Work and Permit To Work systems, checking competency and monitoring adherence to RAMS and Point Of Work Risk Assessments.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSubcontract Management:\n\n•Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance\n\n•Maintain relationships with subcontractors and resolve any issues\n\nAuthority & Permit to Work Systems:\n\n•Maintain robust ATW/PTW systems\n\n•Review and approve permit applications\n\n•Ensure all necessary safety measures are in place before issuing permits\n\nSafety and Compliance:\n\n•Ensure all work activities comply with health and safety regulations\n\n•Coordinate with the Integral UK and University of Liverpool Health and Safety teams to implement safety protocols\n\nWorks Coordination:\n\n•Liaise with Integral UK and University of Liverpool teams to understand work requirements\n\n•Coordinate work schedules to minimize disruptions and optimize efficiency\n\n•Resolve conflicts between different work activities or subcontractors\n\n•Understand the business needs of the University of Liverpool and help coordinate works around their requirements\n\nDocumentation and Reporting:\n\n•Maintain accurate records of all permits issued and subcontractor activities\n\n•Prepare regular reports on work progress, safety performance, and subcontractor evaluations\n\n•Carry out supplier audits as required\n\n•Ensure any immediate remedial actions required as a result of Sub-Contractor delivery are recorded and actioned within necessary timescales\n\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\n\n * Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or technical facilities management\n\n * Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and permit to work systems\n\n * IOSHH Managing Safely\n\n * Technical qualifications and experience essential, previous AP status preferred.\n\n * Excellent communication and negotiation skills\n\nCOMPETENCIES & VALUES\n\nDrive Change\n\nThrives on change, Learning agility, Intellectually curious, Appetite for risks, digital drive and is prepared to drive through change for the long term benefit of the business\n\nHelps others\n\nBuilds relationships, Actively collaborates, Helps others succeed (cares,etc.)\n\nSupports and builds effective relationships to deliver results.\n\nGet it done\n\nActs decisively, Drives results, Passion to win, Takes ownership, Accountable, Resilient.\n\nBusiness first\n\nFocuses on customers and clients, Business/financial acumen, business first\n\nRegularly and clearly communicates compellingly with the whole team - verbally and/or in writing on current news, progress, achievement, issues\n\nInspire\n\nInspire others, creates vision and strategy, Energizes others and inspires others to do their best, exemplifies positive team value and values
