Axon Moore are proud to be exclusively recruiting on behalf of a highly-valued client as they look to recruit an experienced AP Manager to take complete ownership of the Purchase Ledger function and lead a medium-sized team within a fast-growing business.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise the transactional team, including training, development, and performance management
2. Manage the end-to-end payable process; ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payment runs, expense reports, closing down ledgers
3. Bank reconciliations
4. Manage workflows across the team; tracking, KPIs, etc
5. Maintain up-to-date files and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
6. Develop and enforce policies and procedures
7. Identify opportunities for process improvements
8. Manage and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
9. Oversee the maintenance of accounts payable systems and software
10. Work closely with internal Senior Finance Leaders
11. Coordinate with internal and external auditors for annual audits
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Strong experience of overseeing AP functions (at least 3 years)
2. Staff management experience
3. An ability to work both collaboratively and independently
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Strong Excel and IT skills
6. High levels of attention to detail and analytical skills
