Utilise Commercial processes to capture variations effectively. Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables, temporary facilities, accommodation, and other project-specific requirements, in accordance with client/contract document specifications and in accordance with Wood Policies & Procedures Understand and manage the industrial relations environment impacting the site and report any issues as required Works with Engineering disciplines in the detailed design phases to influence the design for optimum constructability Participate in detailed Constructability, HAZCON and Construction Readiness Reviews as required Works with engineering in the design phases to influence the design for optimum constructability Qualifications Appropriate level of field construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience OR trade discipline qualified with a minimum 7 years relevant practical experience Have a broad and deep technical knowledge of construction discipline and associated processes Ability to identify risk to delivery and build in mitigation / contingency plans Substantial experience of interpreting discipline documentation Sound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard in Construction (HAZCON) Substantial knowledge and understanding of technical specifications, codes and standards Comprehensive understanding of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) Regulations 2015 Demonstrable experience in the role of Principal Contractor and CDM duties throughout the execution phase of the project, in conjunction with an understanding of Client, Principal Designer and Designer Duties Awareness of Temporary Works, and an understanding of the requirements for design and construction of site Temporary Works (TW) Minimum Qualifications: Suitable academic qualifications (ONC/HNC) in a relevant Engineering discipline or appropriate level of field construction experience. or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience Vocational Qualification such as NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management an advantage SSSTS/SMSTS CSCS CCNSG Desirable Experience & Skills: Good knowledge of GMP within a Pharmaceutical Environment Demonstrable experience in the management of multi disciplined projects in the pharmaceutical, batch chemical production or other relevant industries is preferred Excellent communications skills Strong effective delegation skills Exposure and familiar with working within a technical environment Role-Specific Skills: Excellent interpersonal organisational, communication and team building skills Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills Computer literate and proficient at intermediate level of MS office Experience with industry wide Safe Systems of Work, including established client Permit to Work process Ability to work with timelines/targets Display both good judgement and leadership qualities.
