To provide a comprehensive Occupational Therapy service in the specialised area of stroke, managing a caseload of patients (often with highly complex needs), using evidence based clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. To provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and discharge support for patients with complex physical and health needs in the area of Stroke Rehabilitation. The service provides occupational therapy in hyper-acute, inpatient rehab and community rehab settings. The successful candidate will need to have post graduate experience of working within a stroke service. They will need to feel confident and comfortable working autonomously without direct supervision, and have the skills to guide and support others e.g. rotational staff, rehabilitation assistants and technical instructors.
